Living Waters

“Believe in me so that rivers of living water will burst out from within you, flowing from your innermost being, just like the Scripture says!”” John 7:38 TPT

I painting many of these paintings during a season when the Lord was speaking to me about becoming living water. Water is able to get through just about any obstacle in its path. It bends and moves and always seems to find a way to get to the lowest place. So is Christ and so is His Spirit, always seeking the lowest place and always finding a way through any wall to get to you. When you live so full of Him you begin to leak. Then without you even needing to speak His Spirit flows right through and touches all those around you. This is who I long to be: absolutely drowned in His majesty so that everyone around me gets free!

“God I’m not satisfied. I cannot live ankle knee or waist deep. I must be completely immersed in Your Presence. Lord here I am. Immerse me. I do not want to keep from drowning. I want to drown in Your love. I want to know what it is to be immersed and undone. I want to know what it is to be out of control and for You to be totally and completely in control. Lord come like a rushing river. I invite You to sweep me away to deeper places. I feel that the Lord is inviting us into a place we have been afraid to live in - the supernatural realm of His kingdom where His manifest presence surrounds and holds us like water in the oceans depths. We were created to breathe in this realm. We can be permanently immersed in the glory of His love. We simply have to drown. Whenever we choose to jump He will pull us right down so we are forced to learn how to breath in the Holy Spirit’s realm. God is calling us to be a people who can breath underwater. And God wants to take us beyond what we can control. He wants to take us to a place where we can be moved in any direction purely by the flow of His Presence. It is when you are immersed in the Love of the Father that you truly begin to love like Jesus. He wants to immerse you. He wants to hold you. He wants to take you to a place where you are so far over your head in the river of God that miracles start to happen all around you. He wants to fill you entirely with His Holy Spirit. It is a call to dive into a love that is limitless ceaseless and bottomless - a call to relinquish control. I was created to be under the waters of the Holy Spirit. In fact I feel as if I was born to be in the water.” Heidi Baker
